Subscribe to iCalendar Subscribe 2013 Academic Year (MS Outlook 2007, 2010, iCal)

 

What is iCalendar?

iCalendar (.ics), often referred to as iCal, is a standard format for calendar data exchange that enables users to create and share electronic calendars.

 

Instructions for subscribing to iCalendar

Windows/MS Outlook 2010 users

  1. Select your calendar in MS Outlook.
  2. Click on Open Calendar on the ribbon menu at the top. On the submenu that opens, choose From Internet.
  3. Paste the below URL and click OK.
  4. When prompted to 'Add this Internet Calendar to Outlook and subscribe to updates', choose Yes.

Windows/MS Outlook 2007 users

  1. In Outlook 2007 go to the 'Tools' menu and click on Account Settings.
  2. Click on the Internet Calendars tab, select New, paste the below URL and click Add.

Mac/iCal users

  1. From within iCal, choose Subscribe from the Calendar menu.
  2. Enter the full url (below) in the 'Subscribe to:' box and click on Subscribe.

Google Calendar

  1. Click the down-arrow next to Other calendars.
  2. Select Add by URL from the menu.
  3. Enter the full url (below) in the provided field.
  4. Click the Add Calendar button. The calendar will appear in the Other Calendars section of the calendar list to the left.
